Funerals, Memorials & Celebrations of Life
Providing a personal and meaningful end-of-life tribute to your loved one.
As a trained Life-Cycle Celebrant® I take time to meet with family and friends to create a ceremony that is unique and personalized to best honour and reflect the character of the loved one who has passed. The celebrant functions as the officiant/presenter of the ceremony, incorporating those stories, poems, quotes, songs, and any other unique experiences that are an expression of your loved one, and helps organize any other presenters, offering support and care to all involved.

Wedding Officiant
Each ceremony is uniquely tailored to represent the couple most authentically. Everyone is welcome and can feel confident that I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and safe space for all.
My training includes the fundamentals of rituals and ceremonies with studies honouring different cultures, beliefs, religions spiritual/non-religious values, including secular and interfaith ceremonies. I creatively integrate aspects of significance most important to each couple.
We begin with a complimentary and no-obligation consultation. Once working together, you will receive a questionnaire followed up by a meeting to further the understanding of what is important to you as a couple. Collecting the details of your love story and who you both are is done with great care. I will work on the ceremony and share it with you in advance to incorporate any changes until the ceremony feels complete and is a beautiful representation of who you both are.
I also offer optional sessions to help enrich your connections as a couple and to navigate the stresses leading up to your wedding. As a facilitator of Compassionate Communication (based on Nonviolent Communication) and as a mediator and transformative conflict practitioner, I can facilitate stronger communication that will support you during this pre-wedding time and also help you learn these tools so that you can carry them forward into your marriage and the life that follows.

I was blessed to meet Lori several years ago. I had no idea how she would impact my life and learning and how I would need her support in the future.
I have learned so much from Lori. I attended Death Cafes at her home, studied Reiki and attended meditation, healing circles and bereavement workshops.
Lori attended my mother when she was dying. I was away and could not get home immediately. Lori and Rebecca came to my mom's bedside until I arrived home to be with my mom. Mom died 2 days later. Lori officiated at my mother's Celebration of Life and did a beautiful ceremony.
Lori was our Death Doula during my husband’s end-of-life journey. My husband loved and trusted Lori. He allowed her to support him and me through his very difficult death. He did not let many people see his suffering but Lori was able to companion him and give and help him find some peace.
She made not only his passing easier but also held me up in the days following his death. She officiated at his Celebration as well.
I know of so many examples of her empathy, wisdom, and kindness that I could share. Lori is a caring and competent shepherd for people facing life's most trying times and I am grateful to call her a friend. She will share her wisdom and support generously for those who are navigating life's challenges.
